Just been to Aberdeen...

I have just spent a lovely weekend in Aberdeen - chiefly to attend a Golden Wedding celebration!
The 'bride' and several of the guests used to be my crafty buddies in Abu Dhabi -
so there was a crafty element to the weekend...

Evelyn and George received some beautiful hand-made cards - several boxed 8 by 8's which seem to be the norm these days. In particular this one was gorgeous...

The ribbon was attached curled - I will definitely use this technique in the future!!

On the Saturday morning some of us nipped to The Papeterie which is a large craft shop  in Aberdeen - I added a few items to my stash!! In particular, I am missing my Promarkers as most of them are packed up following our move from Abu Dhabi. So I bought a Christmas collection and two odd ones - mango and coral as they are similar to my favourite 'tequila sunrise'!

My friend noticed a Docrafts Christmas Goody Bag - excellent value - but there was only one - I was very pleased when I found another one back here in St Neots!!

These items should keep me going until I eventually get my stuff out of storage!

At the dinner table there were little boxes for the ladies and a scattering of golden petals - of course at the end of the evening, Stella and I collected these - they are sure to come in useful!!

At the end of the weekend we were invited to Evelyn and George's for a bbq...
Evelyn invited me to use her craft room to make a 'Get Well' card - with a little help from Stella and Lilias.

Firstly I used Evelyn's new e-bosser to cut a Spellbinder flourish!!
We were still on the 'golden' theme - so this is how the card turned out...

Happy Crafting!
