Seize the Sketch

A very quick card for Seize the Sketch 6...

This is the sketch for Seize the Sketch 6

This is my take on it - I am still thinking Hallowe'en!! Two digis from Bugaboo, coloured with Promarkers.
I decided to use a shaped card blank matted with a pretty paper.

Hope you like it!

Still on Hallowe'en...

This is the sketch for
on the 'Catch the Bug Challenge Blog'

I decided I would have a go...

I started with the Bugaboo digi AKVWITCHMoon.
Having printed that on white card I coloured it with Promarkers, cut it down in size
and then distressed the edges with ripe persimmon Distress ink.

For the banners I used 'craft lace' and strips of design paper.
I added three buttons...

I then decided it need a little more so I added a die cut pumpkin, burnished with metallic gilding wax.

Hope you like it!
Happy Crafting!!

Catch the Bug Challenge - Bingo

The October Challenge at 'Catch the Bug' is Bingo...
I chose to use
black, button and sentiment...

Here is my card - well it is only 60-some days to Christmas now!
I hope you identify Rudolf!

I printed out Bugaboo's 'reindeer block' three times in black on some cream card. I coloured in a little using berry red and holly Promarkers. I then matted this onto some pretty paper and a beige pre-folded card. Buttons to highlight the noses and the sentiment 'Merry Christmas' finishes the card!

Simple...but I hope you like it!
Happy Crafting!

Mojo Monday

It's ages since I had a go at a Mojo Monday Sketch...so here goes...

This is this weeks sketch

and this is my take on it...

As you can see I am still thinking 'Hallowe'en'.
The main image in the circle is a Stamping Dragon Design -
a digi I printed out on a pretty paper and coloured with Promarkers.
Additional elements are a die cut pumpkin burnished with metallic gilding wax,
a ribbon embellishment from Naif Street, craft lace and three drawn spiders.

As well as the Monday Mojo Challenge I also submitted this to a Stamping Dragon challenge on Facebook and on the Stamping with the Dragon Challenge Blog and a daily challenge 'lace' on Mad Crafters Giggles.

Happy Crafting!

Hallowe'en/Autumn ATC x 5

I am making 5 ATC's on the theme of Hallowe'en or Autumn
for the Facebook group ATC Swap UK.

Hallowe'en has always been a favourite festival for me as it is my sister's birthday!

This is my first ATC:

I started with a 3.5 by 2.5 inch rectangle of black, matted with a 3.25 x 2.25 inch rectangle of orange card.
I then used a Pattie Gomez image 'Bats over Pumpkin Patch' printed twice at 'wallet' size.
I coloured this with Promarkers -Mango, gold and cool grey 4.
I cut out the second pumpkin patch and attached it to the first with dimensionals.
Finally two die cut bats, also on dimensionals and a gem complete the ATC.

I am submitting this as an entry to the 'Orange and Black' challenge on

I started my second ATC in a very similar way but then added a die cut owl.
I burnished a die cut pumpkin with Metallic Gilding Wax and added this...finally a few gems!

I am submitting this ATC to Emma's Feeling Crafty Challenge with an Autumn theme.

My next two ATC's again start with the black and orange cardstock.
I then used a Glitzcraft Pumpkins stencil with copper Glitter Frosting Paste to make some pumpkins.
I cut them out and layered them with dimensionals. I added die cuts and gems to finish.

My final ATC - again starting with the orange and black base. I added a 'moon' of pretty paper with gilding was giving it an aura. I stamped a tree over this with 'versafine'. Finally I added a die cut bat. gems and a little ribbon...

and here they all are...

Happy Crafting!

Recent crafting...

Well not a lot really...
Those of you who know me may think this odd...
but I left Abu Dhabi (and all my stuff) at the beginning of July.
Almost 4 months later and I am about to start a new adventure in India!
(And I will have to set up a new craft room!)

Anyway what have I done recently? A few cards that I have already posted.
A few ATC's (and I am just making a set with a Hallowe'en theme)...

'Babies' in August - I used various 'bargain' items that I found locally in Derby and Long Eaton.

'Flora and Fauna' in September - here I used a stamp I bought in Aberdeen with a variety of pretty paper backgrounds

Sophie and I made sheep brooches one morning...

Sophie also helped out with a 'bargain' I had bought at the craft exhibition in Knaresborough. It was a fancy stapler with staples - the whole lot only cost 2 pounds but then I couldn't make it work. Sophie soon worked it out...

The only card I have made recently is the following art deco one.
I used a stepper blank with various pictures that I printed out.

Hopefully I will post more soon!
Happy Crafting!!

Just for Fun October Challenge

I cannot believe that it is October 1st already!! How has this year has flown?
Anyway it's the day that the next Just For Fun Challenge is launched!!
This month it's "Buttons and Bows" - I hope that this title
and the examples of the DT team will inspire you!!

Here is mine...
I chose a trifold card blank to start and matted it with "Kanban Greens" pretty papers.
I chose one of the Woodcraft 'bubble' stamps -
where individual bubbles can be coloured or embellished with a button.
(I chose some docrafts mini polka dot buttons...).
The Promarkers I used were just a couple of cool greys.
Finally I used some embellishments found in Naif Street Souq in Dubai...
