LOC Challenge #80

The Challenge that starts today at Left of Center
is Upcycle/Recycle

sponsored by Oddball Art.

I used Creepy Cute Big Eye Dancing Girl which comes complete with Sentiments.

The theme Upcycle/Recycle - well I always upcycle my scraps of DP - I have a filing cabinet drawer full of them, filed in colours so they are easy to find...
These ATCs start with a rectangle of Neenah Desert Storm, matted with a scrap...

The Neenah was recycled - I had originally thought I would use it to make a different ATC - but I changed my mind and used yellow and white card...

This was to enter into Dragons Lair Facebook Fan Group May Challenge
using the Freebie image.
Just scraps of card, paper pieced image with a touch of Promarker, a few embellishments, including ribbon on the flower and bow.

Anyway to get back to my Oddball ATCs. I printed the image three times - very small - anout an inch wide by three tall. I used Spectrum Noirs to colour them.

Each image and sentiment was matted onto card scraps that matched the base paper.
I then added a few buttons from my button box!

Do pop over to LOC to see the other great makes - and join in the Challenge!

Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Yes we are back...

But you will find our Challenges on Facebook...

The current Challenge is BANNERS and is at the Crafting Station

I am very fond of banners - or bunting as we would call it in England - I recently hung some across our house for the village carnival...

Banners in card making usually mean two sorts of thing - I have used both types in my inspiration creation today: the first I have made using washi on some twine - the second is  a purchased banner layered on scraps of card.

I have used both of these on a card with an image from Spiced Sunshine Digis
Bear Holding Whimsical Heart
I printed this twice - on Desert Storm Neenah and some pink corrugated card to paper-piece the image.

;
This is the final card with all elements placed on a Kraft card Base:

Watch out for another inspiration next Tuesday...

Sketch~N~Scrap Birthday Month - Susan R's Challenge Part 3

Sketch~N~Scrap celebrate their 3rd Birthday this month with a Challenge every day!

As well as the usual challenges
(you will have seen the card sketch on the 20th of the Month)
different members of the Design Team will challenge you to something else each day...
with prizes up for grabs...

This is the third and final part of my Challenge -
there have now been three parts over the month.

My first challenge was here. The second Challenge was here.

You may enter one, two or all three of my challenges.
Entering all three Challenges will give you three chances to win my prize:

The prize is CANDY posted to wherever you may be...
(and will be awarded if I have a minimum of 10 entries)
Those of you who have won my CANDY before will know it is well worth winning!!

So....what I would like you to do...is use the following Sketch for either a card or a layout WITH A TWIST...

This was the sneaky peek you will have seen on Sketch~N~Scrap

The TWIST - well it's SNS's THIRD Birthday so it must have just three flowers!

I have used the sketch to make a card...

I used a stencil and Inka Gold Aquamarine metallic paint
on a white card base for the background. I matted the image on turquoise card
and used this same card with a tag die to add the shapes.
Finally I added some bling...
This image was printed coloured from Imagine That! Watering Can Tulips

and I will link this card to The Imagine That! DOTM Progressive Challenge

Hope you are inspired to join in...

Ike's World Challenges

Over at Creative Ladybirds during May you will find an AG Challenge and a Blog Hop...
This is the link to my midway reminder of the Blog Hop...my original post was here

I will be announcing the winner of my CANDY at the beginning of June!!

One of our sponsors during the hop is Ikes Art:

I like to make cards, ATCs, tags, fat pages...In my two posts for this blog hop I have displayed some examples using Ike's Images...

I really like this trio of ATCs using Rabbit 1

Anyway I noticed that Ike has a DT Call out so I started looking through my archives
and came across these cards that also use Ike's Images...

At the time I was quite pleased with them... I had really good fun making the background to Lenore!

Currently there is also  Challenge #38 at Ike's World and a FREEBIE - the knight...

So this afternoon I put together this little tag...a few layers of texture, the image and some embellishments!!

I will link this tag to the Challenge and the post to the DT Call...I would love to join the team and play with some more of Ike's images! Find out a little more about me in the sidebar

NEW Release from SLSLINES!

Today I want to spotlight this super new image from SLSLines

You may remember I made a tag using  the  Alley Cat a few days ago -
this cat is quite different!

To colour her, I used some paper piecing, Promarkers, gems and liquid pearls.

And she became the focal point in another page from my Fantasy Fat Page book...

I started with covering my chipboard shape with papers from my scraps
and adding Worn Lipstick Distress Ink around the edges.
(You can see parts of the previous page peeping out at the edges)

I then used a dandelion head stencil and glitter frosting paste for the next layer.

Next I added the kitty, PRINCESS (thick glittery stickers) and some more Dandelion heads - this time on pink from an embossing folder plus Worn Lipstick Distress ink

You will find other New Release makes here

Do have a look at the gorgeous SLSLines images...

Don't forget the 'Anything Goes' Challenge at SLSLines...

LOC Challenge # 79

Left Of Center has a new Challenge starting today - Black and White plus one colour

Our awesome sponsor is Lacy Sunshine

And I used Sammy Bedbug to make 3 ATCs -
you may have noticed that ATCs are my signature line at the moment!!

Having printed the image three times I coloured them using Spectrum Noirs in blues, pinks and oranges. Of course I did add some skintones and some greys for the hair.

Using scraps of black and DP from my stash I prepared backgrounds...

I then added the images and a few gems...

B&W plus pinks,

B&W plus oranges,

B&W plus blues,

I will link this final one to Wicked Wednesday ATC Challenge

Hope you will join the LOC Challenge!
